Vince Sorace

President, CEO & Director

Mr. Sorace is a mineral resource and finance professional with over 25 years of international business and capital markets experience. Mr. Sorace has led several resource companies with assets in the U.S., Canada and Europe, and has raised over $100M in equity financings for public and private entities. He has been the founder, served as a Director and held CEO positions for numerous companies with extensive experience in development, management and public company governance in the resource and alternative energy sectors. Mr. Sorace is currently an officer and director of Black Sea Copper & Gold Corp., Bethpage Capital Corp. and Nevaro Capital Corp.


Rob Duncan, B.Sc. M.Sc.

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Duncan brings over 26 years of experience in the mineral exploration business having worked for both major mining companies, including Rio Tinto and Inmet Mining Corporation, as well as junior explorers, such as Rimfire Minerals/Kiska Metals Corporation and Evrim Resources Corporation, where he held senior management positions and was an integral part of generative exploration, project evaluations and joint venture negotiations. Mr. Duncan has conducted exploration throughout the North American Cordillera and Canadian Shield on a wide variety of deposit types including orogenic gold, porphyry copper (gold), VMS, and high sulphidation gold-silver.


Rory Kutluoglu, B.Sc. P.Geo.

Vice President of Exploration

Mr. Kutluoglu is a professional geologist with over 10 years of mineral exploration experience across North America, and has held several executive management roles in Canadian junior exploration companies. As Exploration Manager for Kaminak Gold Corp. from 2012-2015, he was instrumental in delivering the maiden resource, positive preliminary economic assessment and positive feasibility study for the Coffee Gold Project, Yukon, which was acquired by Goldcorp Inc. in 2016 for $520 million. In addition to designing and executing multiple exploration programs, Mr. Kutluoglu has managed comprehensive environmental baseline and feasibility study programs, and participated in effective community engagement. Mr. Kutluoglu obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Lakehead University, is a Professional Geoscientist registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, and is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.


Eva Nakano, MBA P.Geo.

Corporate Development

Ms. Nakano has been involved in mineral exploration and mining for over 10 years with major (Anglo American) and mid-tier (B2Gold) producers, and with junior explorers (Chariot Resources, Magma Metals). Her experience spans all phases of exploration, from grassroots to advanced stages, and a range of deposit types including porphyry, epithermal, IOCG, VMS, unconformity uranium, and magmatic sulfides. In her previous role at B2Gold she contributed to project evaluations and resource delineation which led to the successful acquisition of several key projects, advancing the company towards mid-tier status. Additionally, Ms. Nakano has built a strong foundation in financial modelling and business strategy. Ms. Nakano holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Geology and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of British Columbia.


Gavin Cooper, CPA CA

CFO, Corporate Secretary & Director

Mr. Cooper is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in all aspects of corporate and financial management. For the past 35 years, Mr. Cooper has been providing strategic and financial advice and corporate administration services, and has held senior positions with a number of public and private companies with local and international operations. He was formerly the CFO of VRB Power Systems Inc., a TSXV listed company involved in the development and production of flow-battery energy storage systems, CEO and a director of a ship-construction project with a budget in excess of $400 million, and Director of Finance & Administration at a shipyard that had employed over 1,000 workers. He is currently CFO of Black Sea Copper & Gold Ltd., and acts as CFO, corporate secretary and director of various other TSXV listed companies. He has a Hons. Bachelor of Accounting from the University of South Africa and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.


Leanne Smar, BSc MSc

Project Geologist

Ms. Smar graduated in 2009 from Carleton University with a BSc Honours in Earth Sciences, and completed her MSc in Geology in 2013 at The University of British Columbia, with a specialization in structural geology, metamorphic petrology and geochronology. She comes to us with a strong background in detailed structural mapping, having worked in northern Ontario’s granite-greenstone terrains, Labrador’s Central Mineral Belt (uranium exploration), Yukon’s Tombstone intrusive suite (gold exploration), and the Northwest Territories’ Wopmay Orogen. Leanne draws from six seasons of field experience in remote camps, with TSX Venture listed companies, as well as provincial and territorial geological surveys.


Keith Henderson

Director

Mr. Henderson is a mining industry executive with 20 years’ experience in Africa, Europe, and the Americas. He was educated in Europe, graduating with B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. in Geology and has extensive experience in multiple mineral deposit types and commodities. After several years in consulting roles, Mr. Henderson worked with Anglo American Exploration in Europe and North America, leading a number of exploration projects and ultimately he was project manager for Anglo Coal as the company made its first entry into Canada. In 2007, Keith joined the Cardero Group and he is currently Executive Vice-President for Cardero Resource Corp., where he played a critical role in advancing the Pampa de Pongo through a positive scoping study and ultimate sale for US$100 million (2009). Most recently, Mr. Henderson was responsible for Cardero’s original investment in Coalhunter (2010), acquiring 49% of the company for $3.6 million.


Chris Taylor

Director

Mr. Taylor is a mining industry executive with 15 years’ experience across the Americas and in Asia. An economic geologist and explorationist, he has experience with porphyry copper gold, epithermal gold, and VMS deposits. He has been professionally active with both mid-tier producing and junior mining companies. Mr. Taylor is a registered Professional Geologist in the Province of British Columbia, and holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Earth Science and a Master of Science degree in Structural Geology from Carleton University. Mr. Taylor is currently President & CEO of Great Bear Resources and Vice President, Resource Investment, with Planet Mining Exploration, a publically traded investment company.
